Reading in the Dark:
Lights are set to go off at 8 p.m. Feb. 5 at The Writer’s Block, 1020 Fremont St., as Iranian fiction writer and screenwriter Hossein Mortezaeian Abkenar reads from his work in the dark. His reading is slated to be followed by a question-and-answer session moderated by Joshua Shenk, executive director of the Black Mountain Institute. Latecomers will not be admitted once the lights are out.
